My First Create A Critter Card!!

After seeing everyones wonderful cards using Create A Critter I decided to order, got it this week and absolutely love it!! I used the Gypsy to make this card, I wanted a shape card so I welded everything together using the shadow cut and then made my individual cuts to adhere to the card. Everything was cut from Create A Critter with the exception of one rectangle which was cut from the George and Basic Shapes, I add the rectangle in the lower left corner of the card to give it stability for opening and closing. I added silver stickles to the hat and used My Pink stamper Birthday sentiment.
Will be entering it into Challenge Me Monday #49 at Fantabulous Cricut , Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge and the Jitterbuggin' Get in Shape Challenge and Crazy for Cricut. Click on their links and join the fun!!
Hope everyone is ready for the weekend, and I hope it's a great one!!

Not Sure about Purple

Tonight I want to share a birthday card I made for my daughter who is going to be turning 15, oh where has the time went. She was our surprise child and is 11 years younger than our youngest son. The boys have been on their own for quite a while so she has just been spoiled rotten, anyway on to the card. Her favorite color is purple and I really had a hard time making a card with purple, just not a color I use very often.

I cut the butterfly at 3" from the Home Accent cart, and I will let you know it is a difficult cut, make sure you use good paper, a sharp blade and slow speed.

I embossed the white cardstock with the Victoria Cuttlebug folder and added Crystal Stickles to the inside butterfly.

The sentiment on the outside is from Peachy Keen Christmas Greeting words, but I use it alot.
The inside sentiment is computer generated, I really need to get some more stamps. I also punched some smaller butterflies and added them. Still not sure on the purple but as long as she likes it that's all that matters.
Will be entering this card in the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #46 and also
the Cooking with the Cricut Challenge -C18 Swirls and Twirls . That's it for tonight, see you tomorrow!!

Challenge Card for CCCC#7 & Challenge Me Monday #48

Good afternoon, running a little behind today, oh well it's Monday. I made a quick little card for the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge which was to use the Paisley Cartridge, I don't have that one so I found the cell phone on the Going Place cart that looks almost exactly like the one on the Paisley cart. Using my Gypsy I welded it together to make a shaped card. I heat embossed the entire top layer, and add Glossy accents to the numbers. I will also be entering this card in the Challenge Me Monday at the Fantabulous Cricut, there challenge was to Emboss it!!

This is a card my daughter would like, she can forget alot of things but never her cell phone!! I will also be entering this card at Paper Playtime Challenge which is anything technology, what a great challenge!!

Ok off to play with my grandbaby, yeah!!! Let me know what you think and don't forget about my giveaway!!

It's A Spring Thing!!

Good Saturday morning!! I am again trying my hand at some different crafting experiences. (Sticking to that New Years resolution). Today I have for you some pencil holders I made out of a glass candle jar. I will be entering these into th Lets Face it Friday Challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps and the Throwback Thursday Challenge at My Creative Time and Cardz TV. You can check them out and join in on the fun by clicking the links!!

Items used:

Clear glass jar
Modge podge
Walk in My Garden (3 sunflowers and 6 leaves)
Mulberry paper (your choice of colors)
Sponge applicator or brush
Ribbon

The one on the left was done using pale yellow and white mulberry and the one on the right was white mulberry only, you could use any color you'd like.

Cut and Assemble sunflower, I used the PK#450 stamp set by Peachy Keen and dolled up my flowers. Outlined flower pieces with orange marker. Then attached the leaves. I applied modge podge to flower front and positioned inside jar, hold for about a minute, then repeat for next 2 flowers. Let dry for 15-20 minutes. While waiting take mulberry paper and tear into strips. Then add thin layer of modge podge to inside jar and cover with strips of mulberry paper. Add an additional layer over all with modgepodge to seal. Let dry. To finish off I added a ribbon around rim of one (which is crooked argh) and added ribbon to outside of the other and added a bow. I think they make cute little pencil holders!!
Hope you like them, would love to hear what you think and please don't forget to enter my
GIVEAWAY!!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Repurposed Formula Can

I watch my granddaughter from time to time, or should I say as much as I can, and I kept thinking I would find a use for the formula cans. After pondering awhile I came up with an Easter Basket. I cut about 1.25" of the top and used the part I cut off to make the handle wrapped the handle with ribbon attached it with brads so it swivels. Entering it into the RRR#18 the challenge was a spring theme and to use ribbon.

It's really much cuter than the picture shows, even my dear hubby was impressed!!
If you have any questions will be happy to help!

Lots Of Love Blog Hop!!!!!

Welcome my Crafty friends to the Lots of Love Blog Hop. First off I would like to thank Courtney for allowing me to be part of this wonderful hop, It's my First hop and I am in the company of some very talented ladies, so thanks Courtney!!

If you are just visiting and would like to join the fun then hop on over to Courtney's Blog and start at the beginning. We hope you have a great time hopping along and feel some love inspiration this Valentine's weekend!

For my love inspired project I made a card for hubby and a treat bag for my daughter. The card was made using The Childs Year cart, embossed with the diamond and dot Cuttlebug folder and I punched each corner with the Fiskars Flower punch and added stickles under the punches to make each punch sparkle, I also used pop dots under the center cut.

For the treat bag, I cut a 5x4 piece of red card stock, scored at 2.5 and folded in half. I then cut a pattern peice of paper 3.8x 2 and added to card stock. I cut a heart from the Designer Calendar cart, stamped it with a PKS (Wide eyed Kids face) added stickles and a bow. Hope you enjoyed my projects. I also repurposed a Tootsie Roll can, but I'm not thrilled with how it came out.

My Manly Mans Valentine

Here is my dear hubby's valentine!! We love to boat in the summer months so I thought this fitting for him. I used the Just Because Cricut Cart and cut the boat at 3", and the scallop frame at 3". I cut the boats shadow at 3.1" so it would be a little more pronouced and used pop dots to the boat to give it more depth. I added 3 brads and some twine to embellish and inked it up with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I did the sentiment on the computer and framed it out with 2 little heart brads. I hope he likes it! I will be entering it into the following challenges-

Cricut Cardz Challenge #60 - Make a valentine card for a man using any cartridge, any colors.

Cooking With Cricut 15 - Anything that has a shadow

Jitterbuggin' Challenge 33- Non traditional Valentine, no red or pink

More than Favors - Wacky Wednsesday #24- You can create anything with the colors Yellow, blue and white.

Whew, can't believe I got 4 challenges out of that! I left links for all come check them out and join in the fun!! Hope everyone is staying warm and safe.

Almost let it slip past, made this card a few days ago and life happened and I lost track of time. This is the card I made for the Cooking with Cricut Challenge #15 . I used my new Simply Charmed Cart and cut out the cake, used glitter card stock for the icing and added stickles to the flowers, and yes I used my new Peachy Keen Stamps(PK-450) for the face. I just got these and I have to say they are the cutest little faces, just love them!! I added a ribbon and a Birthday sentiment from Paper Studio, Can't help but smile when you see that face!
