It's A Spring Thing!!

Good Saturday morning!! I am again trying my hand at some different crafting experiences. (Sticking to that New Years resolution). Today I have for you some pencil holders I made out of a glass candle jar. I will be entering these into th Lets Face it Friday Challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps and the Throwback Thursday Challenge at My Creative Time and Cardz TV. You can check them out and join in on the fun by clicking the links!!

Items used:

Clear glass jar
Modge podge
Walk in My Garden (3 sunflowers and 6 leaves)
Mulberry paper (your choice of colors)
Sponge applicator or brush
Ribbon

The one on the left was done using pale yellow and white mulberry and the one on the right was white mulberry only, you could use any color you'd like.

Cut and Assemble sunflower, I used the PK#450 stamp set by Peachy Keen and dolled up my flowers. Outlined flower pieces with orange marker. Then attached the leaves. I applied modge podge to flower front and positioned inside jar, hold for about a minute, then repeat for next 2 flowers. Let dry for 15-20 minutes. While waiting take mulberry paper and tear into strips. Then add thin layer of modge podge to inside jar and cover with strips of mulberry paper. Add an additional layer over all with modgepodge to seal. Let dry. To finish off I added a ribbon around rim of one (which is crooked argh) and added ribbon to outside of the other and added a bow. I think they make cute little pencil holders!!
Hope you like them, would love to hear what you think and please don't forget to enter my
GIVEAWAY!!
Thanks for stopping by!
