Today I'm showing a card I made for the challenge over at Stamp TV. The challenge is Spring is in the air with a twist, no black! I never realized how much black I use, everything I stamp is usually in black ink. I was really pleased with how my card turned out.
I started my card using the Spellbinders Grate effect for thre background. I will tell you I love the die cut but you need to run it through several times to get a clean cut. I layered it on top of my spring green cardstock. Next I used a piece of Gina K pure luxury white cardstock, to stamp my image on. When stamping my image from the Gina K "Warm with Love" set I inked it up my Spectrum Noir watercolor markers. Next I took my regular Spectrum Noir markers and colored it in. I selected the sentiment from a retired set from Gina K called "Sending Sunshine", It is a Theresa Momber set and I just love the swirl script. To finish off the card I add a bow and a cut brad.
Well thats it for my card I hope it inspires you to craft a card without using black and check out the challenge at Stamp TV, Hope you have a great day!!

Your card sure does speak "Spring" to me. I had to come to your blog and see who made the background die. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis cards screams Spring! I really like your coloring and the die cut is so pretty. I totally understand how frustrating it can be to get them to cut, though!
